Season Finale of Eastbound & Down gives mixed feelings

Last night, the short 6-episode season of HBO’s Eastbound & Down took place last night. It was a disheartening end to what I thought was a flawless show.
For those of you who haven’t seen it yet. Don’t read on. There will be spoilers and it will ruin your day.
How the show ends leaves everyone hanging, and it kind of pissed me off how it ended.
Kenny is moving to Tampa to join the big leagues again. April decides that she is madly in love with him and at the last second joins him on his endeavor.
Well, Kenny finds out from the Tampa exec (played by Adam Scott) that its not happening anymore and that he wasn’t going to be on the team this Spring as planned.
Instead of telling the truth to his family and April; he hops into his new Denali with April and drives for Tampa.
Kenny stops at a gas station and April goes in to get some snacks. She picks up Kenny some Skittles, like he asked for. She comes back out of the gas station and Kenny is nowhere to be fuckin found. He left her bag at the gas station; and Kenny drove off.
Fuckin bull shit ending. There better be a damn Season Two HBO! That’s all I gotta say, because you can’t end a show like that. Errr….then again they did have the Sopranos right? Ugh. Fuck!
If there is a Season 2 they better not drag out this fuckin love story. That’s when series’ start to tank is when they drag out a love story.
*sigh* Oh well. Nonetheless, this was a terrific show and was laugh out loud funny throughout. That ending though just pissed me off.
The intro scene however in this final episode of Season 1 will make you very happy. Seeing Katy Mixon’s tits was a thing of magic. Unreal, and lived up to the hype. Hopefully we do see some more of that.

Yeah, I was wondering if it was a different set of tits, they did do a cut. But still a nice rack.

i was kind of sad about the ending too… hoping for a good season 2. of course it was a body double but, in my mind, it was certainly the real deal ;^)

Come on people! You don’t really think you got to see Katy Mixon’s breasts do you? It was a double! Believe me, I checked! If you watch the close up you will notice that in the bare-breasted shot the girl has a few freckles above the left breast and one actually on the top of the breast. In earlier scenes showing Mixon’s cleavage you will notice that she does not have ANY freckles. And here’s the big proof….if you watch the scene where Mixon’s face, hands, and her reaching to open the blouse you will notice that she has a large ring on her third finger of her left hand. When the bare breasts are shown the girl’s left hand isn’t wearing any ring! It was a stand-in people, nice breasts though!

Yeah you guys who say those breasts aren’t Mixon’s are definitely right. I’ve watched the episode a few times now, and sadly those are not Mixon’s. It seemed odd when I initially watched it, the thought that Katy Mixon would reveal her tits. She just doesn’t seem like the type to show em off for some reason. She needs to!

As most of the shows i watch…this one i also do in one night.
Same as Lost, watched season one in 2 days.
Last episode, i thought hmm there going to Tampa, there must be whole new set of people en characters. NOT! he drove of leaving here behind!??
what an stupid way to end a episode.
Nothing on the main website about stopping.kinda figured it but, wasn’t sure until i read it on this website.
This sucks ass!

Whoever actually thought that those were Katy Mixon’s boobs, is the dumbest person alive. Look at the shot of her in her bra and look at her boobs at that moment. When they go to a close up of her boobs, look closely again. The boobs shown are pretty close to looking fake and Katy Mixon’s boobs sag. Sad individuals that actually think that they saw Katy Mixon’s boobs.

Her tits were a body double, if you watch the video the ring she is wearing on her ring finger while disrobing is no where to be found when the bra is being taken off.

everyone wants happy hollywood endings. its lame. the ending was just fine. would have been so weak if he had just went off with the chick into the sunset to Tampa.

I wasn’t looking for a Hollywood ending. I’m fine with it, but you know for a fact the series is going to try and rekindle the relationship again. I hate dragged out love stories.

Body double or real, I popped wood like pinocchio when that rack was unleashed like a twin set of beachballs….. Booooiiiiiiing. I’d plow Mixon and her double…… Possibly her mom

Well said man. And props to you for the coolest screen name I have seen on WordPress. You are now truly the Biggest Dank who smokes weed and 69′s a lot. Cheers!

Those weren’t really her tits retards. That was someone else’s. Notice they didn’t show her face. C’mon now.

Sorry to bust anyone’s bubble, but those were stunt-tits; a body double for the nude part, as is done with many prominent actresses who won’t cross that line.. It was painfully obvious to me. If you don’t see a face and tits simultaneously, you have to be suspect. Then do a cleavage comparison between “April” and the body-double. The body double has larger breasts, and different skin tone. In retrospect (now that it’s Season 3 in 2012), do you now see why Kenny isn’t the type of person to admit any type of failure? Especially after he filled everyone’s head with his classic and precious arrogance about going back to the majors, Kenny just imploded… and he’s not always an honest person. If he can’t be the Kenny that’s in his head, he’d rather be a mystery to the people that know him than a washed-up failure. I think the writing on every episode has been fantastic, along with the improvisational comedy as well. I disagree with the writer’s opinion about the ending. It was a fantastic cliffhanger, and it was obvious it was a cliffhanger. No offense intended to anyone. Just one fan’s opinion. Peace.
