So Tuesday was officially the day that the “beef” would actually begin; between hip-hop moguls 50 Cent and Kanye West. Sorry I’m not going to give a background knowledge of who they are because if you don’t know who they are already you obviously live under a rock and your a 63-year old woman in college classes; but yeah the “BEEF” is off and runnin. 50 of course is saying, if Kanye beats him out in record sales after one week he will officially retire. First off how cool would it be to be that rich and throw around retirement like that? Hey Texan I bet I could woop your ass in a game of Madden 08 ten times in a row and if I lose just once I will officially retire from my job. That would be great to say the least. But now let’s analyze the cd’s that just came out today.
If your wondering I did purchase both of these cd’s. They were only $9.99 at Circuit City which isn’t too bad so I also bought Timbaland too. In honor of Timbaland I had no money, not for a girl but for lunch after purchasing the cd’s because I spent my cash on the huge “BEEF” that would change music as we know it forever.
Kanye West: Graduation

The art work is badass in my opinion on this album. I don’t know what it is but I always love seeing those little bears on Kanye’s albums. I don’t know why, they just look so innocent yet they will probably toke it up or somethin with the best of ‘em. That’s why I love this artwork. And what the hell is the bear flying out of? My initial guess when I picked it up was 50’s face as a cartoon fish in disguise. Thoughts?? But this case is also compact and not bulky whick I like. It’s just a cheap thing the type you would usually see with a single or something but I like it. Also had a poster that’s double-sided. The poster is currently hanging in my room I chose the light blue side with the bear wearing shades. It’s fly like Kanye.
As for the music, this is some good shit. Every track so far is good on this cd. Right now I’m listenin to “I Wonder” which basically repeats the same lyrics over and over yet while I type this I’m bobbing my head like I’m in some rap studio producin this shit. It’s good. “Stronger” is a damn good song that pretty much everyone knows yet very good. Track #7 is titled “Barry Bonds” talkin about takin’ hits and shit. So pretty much an insult to our Home Run champion. Track #8 cuts the cake for me though. It’s titled “Drunk and Hot Girls.” Arguably one of the coolest song titles I have came across in quite across in quite some time since Sisqo made “The Thong Song.” *VH1 voice from I Love the 80’s*….”Admit it you still sing “The Thong Song” while sporting your bleached hair, admit it! Cuz this is 1998!”

Ahhh how I miss you Sisqo and your confusing ways.
But yeah the Drunk and Hot Girls song is good. Just talkin about not goin through too much shit with these Hot Girls. Word Kanye! You definitely did Graduate my friend. This is off record but is it true Kanye didn’t graduate from High School? I’m pretty sure that’s the case but not 100% sure, hence the word “pretty.” But yeah this is a must buy cd. I’m likein every track. Kanye is gonna make a strong case at puttin 50 in early retirement with this one. It’s a damn good cd. Rock-A-Fella!!!
50 Cent: “Curtis”

The man known by two quarters in U.S. currency also has a birth certificate name, and that is Curtis Jackson. So you can add one and one together on how Mr. Jackson came up with his album title. I was pretty stoked about this album release. I’ve been a 50 and G-Unit fan since the IN DA CLUB days. I have purchased all their cd’s and even some shoes that were hella fly. It seemed like after I wore G-Unit’s everyone was wearing G-Unit’s. But I wasn’t anywhere near our friend who was getting dumped for $25 but yada yada yada we already know that story. Here’s my analysis of 50’s album.
Initially I’m already hooked to Track #2 “My Gun Go Off.” It’s your stereo-typical 50 Cent to the T. Fast-paced background music with 50 sounding like a hardass and it’s involving guns. It’s a pretty sweet song, I definitely plan on cruisin with this bumpin’ and actin like I’m a hardass when people will probably just laugh at whitey but hell who cares you only once so don’t hold anything back! 50 did a lot of song with other artists. Eminem, Justin Timberlake, Dr. Dre, and Mary J. Blige are just to name a few. Is this showing a lack of skill by 50? Showing he can’t handle shit on his own anymore. Who honestly knows and cares as long as it sounds good. On a side note, Mary J. Blige, is a woman that I would enjoy having familiar relations with.
“Ayo Technology” is a pretty cool song but I’m not sure if it will stay good for awhile. This cd has that feel to it. It’s good stuff but I just don’t think it’s gonna stack up to his previous cd’s. Songs like, In Da Club, Candy Shop, Just a ‘Lil Bit, just to name a few are still damn good songs. I don’t really foresee a standout in this group. Amusement Park is good but again, not blockbuster good. 50 with this cd did a good job but it doesn’t stack up with The Massacre. That was a classic. Every song on that cd is outstanding. Maybe over time it will wear on me and I will change my tune we will see. But my favorite right now on the cd is Straight to The Bank that’s a badass song, I’ve liked this one for awhile now from hearin’ it on the radio. Oh and for what it’s worth you get five free 50 Cent ringtones for purchasing the cd. It comes inside the case, which by the way is a damn funny picture. Curtis please don’t hurt me! But he’s got some G-Unit tat on his hand then this bling that simply has the number 50 in egyptian text or somethin’. It’s interesting. It’s one of those photos that you tell people, “Caption this.” Well hey there we go post your comments for a caption on this cover. I will say, (inside 50’s head)…”damn I got the magic stick that clown fuck Kanye is just a busy bee I’m Curtis! I starred in a mutha fuckin movie! GGGGGGGGG-Unit!!!”
Well there you have it. If my assesments have any indication on how this “BEEF” will end, it looks like Kanye will come out on top and 50 will go into retirement. Which retirement for rappers is usually 6 months then they come back in a single with one of their co-workers and then a year later make a album that they were writing and producing while on “retirement time.” Jellydonut will keep it’s eyes peeled to see the progress of this epic showdown.
